Held Ground
2016 - 2018
Held Ground is a photographic body examining how space carries human presence without event or resolution. The images focus on ordinary environments, restrained gestures, and moments where activity has slowed or paused. Figures appear as occupants rather than subjects, held by their surroundings rather than performing within them.
The work avoids spectacle, climax, and explanation. Meaning accumulates gradually through sequence, repetition, and quiet variation rather than individual emphasis.
Photographed between 2016-2018 across multiple countries.
